The Health Strategy and Policy Institute is a research institution focusing on the area of health policies and strategies to provide evidence for policy-making. Specifically, it conducts assessments on health policies that have already been implemented, conducts health systems research and forecasting studies, and synthesises scientific evidence and practical experiences nationally and internationally for health policy and strategy development.
The Institute also provides consultations on the issues of health policies and strategies to the Ministry of Health in Vietnam, playing a crucial role as an advocate as well as a critic, on important health issues in the country.
