Marie Stopes International (MSI) is one of the largest international family planning organisations in the world providing quality family planning and reproductive healthcare to millions of the most poor and vulnerable women. Each year MSI serves more than 7 million people in 40 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America, with high quality health services including: family planning; safe abortion and post-abortion care; maternal and child health care; diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections; HIV/AIDS prevention.

With more than 600 clinics and outreach teams working in around 6,000 hard-to-reach urban slums and remote rural locations, MSI is scaling-up both the quality and coverage of sexual and reproductive health services for low-income women and couples in developing countries. The aim is to eradicate unsafe abortion, eliminate barriers to sexual and reproductive health services and supplies, and strengthen health systems.

The Research and Metrics programme at MSI undertakes research and performance analysis with the ultimate aim of expanding access to high quality, affordable and cost-effective reproductive and sexual health services. The Research and Metrics team is a multidisciplinary team with expertise in epidemiology, statistics, population dynamics, qualitative research and health economics. Based in London and Accra the global team supports and works with over 20 national research managers in our country programmes.
