We are working towards strengthening the capacity of RESYST members to produce high-quality and innovative health policy and systems research (HPSR); and the ability of health policymakers and managers to use research evidence in the formulation and implementation of policies.
Our capacity development activities will include:
Individual learning

Support to researchers through mentoring and structured opportunities to share experiences and offer advice

Development of a peer-review system and assistance in the development of research proposals

Strengthening research skills through writing workshops, short training courses and support for applications to post-graduate study

Strengthening health policy and systems research training programmes aimed at health policymakers and managers
Organisational development

Facilitate the development of a “business model” that will account for the full cost of managing HPSR groups

Support for HPSR group level planning and continuous professional development activities
Creating a community of practice in Health Policy and Systems Research

Facilitate national and regional level engagement among the broader HPSR community, including knowledge synthesis workshops to bring communities together

Support the development of RESYST members HPSR teaching programmes

Engaging, as a Consortium, with international developments in the field
